The Setting

 

The campaign setting takes place in the world of Mystara, focusing in a region of the world that people call The Known World.  This campaign setting was introduced with D&D Expert Set in 1983.

 

The journey begins in Grand Duchy of Karameikos, part of the Empire of Thyatis, and then adventures take characters to a desert region called Emirates of Ylaruam.
