Paths of Desolation

The Acts

This is a rough draft of components of this campaign.  As players go through these Acts, they encounter hints of secret orders plotting to dramatically alter Mystara forever.

 

Act I - The Veiled Society

Characters are pulled into poltical intrigue and come across a criminal organization called the Veiled Society.  Various factions and organizations seek to recruit the players into their plots.

 

Act II - Night's Dark Terror

Adventures lead characters into heart of Karameikos and developments lead them to remnants of an ancient civilization.  Factions seek to recruit the characters to their cause.

 

Act III - Touch of Death

Clues to origins of an ancient civilization lead characters to the desert nation of Ylaruam.  In a village at the edge of the Deserts of Desolation, characters find a secret cult that seek to recruit the player characters (in undeath).

 

Act IV - Pharoah

Escaping or Adventuring into the Deserts of Desolation, players encounter an ancient secret and a power that can threaten The Known World and beyond.

 

Act V - Oasis of White Palm

Characters assist a local Sheikh and discover an ancient crypt and lost city.

 

Act VI - Lost Tomb of Martek

Characters penetrate an ancient tomb and adventures lead characers to outerplanar voyages.
